KDF is a Canadian company working on one problem from two sides: how credit guarantee schemes are designed, and how they are run. Its advisory practice, Infiniti Business & International Development Consulting, helps institutions design and strengthen schemes. Its software, Prudence, runs them.

Infiniti Business & International Development Consulting, founded in Bangladesh in 2013, is now KDF's advisory practice: credit guarantee scheme design, reform and implementation, and wider development finance work, for governments, central banks and development banks in 17 countries.

Prudence is KDF's credit guarantee management platform. It grew out of the advisory work: the same team, encoding years of operating experience in software that runs the full guarantee lifecycle.
About PrudenceOur story
KDF was founded by Tarek Kamal, who has spent more than 30 years in banking and development finance, including six years as a Senior Financial Markets Specialist with IFC in South Asia. Since 2013 he has advised governments, development banks and guarantee institutions as a credit guarantee expert for numerous multilateral agencies and consulting companies, working on 17 credit guarantee schemes since 2014. Through Infiniti Business & International Development Consulting, he advises more widely on MSME finance.
Again and again, the same gap appeared: well-designed schemes run on spreadsheets and general-purpose software that were never built for guarantees. Prudence is the answer to that gap, built by people who know what a scheme needs because they have designed and operated them.
We work with a network of senior advisers who bring complementary experience in development finance and guarantee operations.
