Credit guarantee management software, by KDF

Origination to completion. Every guarantee, every partner, every stage.

Prudence is a credit guarantee management platform, purpose-built for the way guarantee schemes actually operate, by people who have designed and run them.

Prudence

What Prudence does for your scheme

01

Know your exposure every month, not every year.

Every guaranteed loan is reconciled with the bank's report each month. The amount at risk, leverage and, where the scheme uses a claims cap, its headroom are recalculated with every change, so the fund's position is always current.

02

Every decision defensible to your Board, auditors and funders.

A second person on every claim, disbursement and recovery decision, and on every application and report the scheme reviews. Committee and Board decisions are recorded with their reference and signed document, and the audit trail cannot be edited.

03

Claims and recoveries handled by the rules, not by negotiation.

Prudence calculates each claim from the reconciled loan balance and the scheme's rules: waiting periods, an optional claims cap for each bank and portfolio year, and a fixed order for sharing recoveries between the scheme and the bank.

04

Your scheme, your rules, your existing portfolio.

Prudence is configured to your scheme's own policies rather than rebuilt for each client. Your existing guarantees are brought across at a cut-over date in a guided migration: each bank confirms its own records before anything is loaded, and every step is recorded.

The challenge

Running a credit guarantee scheme is harder than it needs to be.

In May 2026 the World Bank surveyed 108 credit guarantee institutions in 74 countries. The sector knows it has a problem; most of it has not solved it yet.

19%have fully digitized their core processes
34%have API integration with partner lenders
10%use AI in any form
51%name digital transformation their top strategic priority

  1. No system built for the job

Most schemes run on spreadsheets, email and general-purpose software never designed for guarantees: manual reconciliation, conflicting versions, and decisions made on data no one fully trusts.

  2. Many partners, compounding complexity

Every partner institution has its own portfolio, allocation limit, reporting cycle and claim history. Without a dedicated platform, nobody sees the whole network.

  3. Accountability that paper cannot provide

Every approval, disbursement and claim carries fiduciary weight. Without enforced maker-checker control and a full audit trail, compliance is asserted, not demonstrated.

Our proposition

The expertise to design it. The platform to run it.

Prudence is purpose-built for guarantee schemes, not adapted from generic financial software. It draws on hands-on work with 17 credit guarantee schemes since 2014, and encodes that operating knowledge in a platform that each scheme configures to its own agreed business plan.

About Infiniti Consulting
  • End-to-end lifecycle management, from origination to closure.
  • Visibility across every partner institution in the scheme.
  • Role-based access with an enforced maker-checker workflow.
  • Configurable to each scheme's own parameters.
  • Two ways to run it: our shared service, or a dedicated installation on your infrastructure or ours. A regional, multi-country model is now being introduced.
  • You own your data. Where your rules require it to stay in the country, choose a dedicated installation.

The guarantee lifecycle

From application to closure, with three processes running the whole time.

  1. Application
  2. Approval
  3. Disbursement
  4. Monthly reporting
  5. Claim
  6. Recovery
  7. Closure

Financial management

Begins at approval. Runs on events: activation, default, recovery.

Fee invoicing
Generated when a guarantee is activated, tracked through to the institution's payment.
Claims
Filed by the lending institution, verified and decided by the scheme, paid from the fund.
Recoveries
Costs first, then the bank's unpaid interest, then shared in proportion to the claim paid. The scheme never recovers more than it paid.
Capital
Fund balance, leverage on the amount at risk and claims-cap headroom where the scheme uses one, updated as each event is recorded.

Compliance monitoring

Begins at disbursement. Runs continuously on every active guarantee.

Monitoring
Every monthly report checked against the approved schedule; a nightly exposure check for each bank and portfolio year; late reports can suspend new guarantees; completed work sampled every week for an after-the-fact check.
Watch-listing
Loans flagged automatically when they reach a performance or compliance threshold.
Claim controls
The waiting period is enforced; a claim is held while its loan is before the credit committee; a claim on a loan with unpaid fees goes to the credit committee.
Cap enforcement
Leverage control can be switched on for any scheme. When it is on, new approvals that would breach the leverage ceiling are refused, with no user override; a decision that would increase exposure goes to the credit committee.

Reporting and reconciliation

One monthly report per loan, checked against the approved schedule.

Disbursements
Reported loan by loan when they happen.
Monthly report
Balance, payment, days overdue and status for each loan, due by a set day.
Reconciliation
The bank's figures checked against the scheme's own calculation, with differences raised at once.
Collection efforts
Recorded loan by loan against the scheme's collection procedures.

Most schemes manage these three processes separately and by hand. Prudence runs all three on every loan, in one system.

Prudence reconciliation review: the bank's reported balance and the platform's computed balance agree, with the payment waterfall
Two figures on every loan: the bank's reported balance and the platform's own calculation. The scheme approves each month and issues a Coverage Statement; the bank may appeal within the appeal window, then the month is final.
Prudence claims review screen showing each claim's stage, from maker review to board
Claims move through maker review, checker decision and, when the amount requires it, the credit committee, senior management and the board.

The platform

One platform, two views. Each side sees exactly what its role requires.

FunctionPartner financial institutionsScheme management
Home Workqueue: everything waiting for the institution's staff. Workqueue: every task waiting for each person, across every module, oldest first.
Originations Submit guarantee applications, one at a time or in bulk, and track their status. Review queue: recommend and decide on every submission.
Portfolio Active guarantees on the institution's own loans. Active guarantees across all partner institutions and portfolio years.
Claims File claims on defaulted loans, track payment and record collection efforts. Review and decide on claims from every partner, and track recoveries.
Reporting Submit monthly portfolio reports for reconciliation. Reconcile submissions and produce scheme-wide reporting.
Fees and limits / Fund management Fee invoices and payments, annual allocation and top-up requests. Fees and invoicing, capital and leverage, annual allocations.
Analytics The institution's own portfolio, limits and, where used, claims-cap headroom. Exposure, leverage, claims and recoveries by bank and portfolio year.
Settings Manage the institution's own users. Onboard institutions, manage the scheme team, configure scheme-wide settings.

Institutions see their own portfolio, submit for review and manage their own staff. The scheme sees everything, holds final decision authority and controls the configuration.

Built for every stakeholder

Everyone sees what they need. Nothing more.

Scheme management
Full portfolio visibility across partner institutions: real-time exposure, leverage ratio, claims-cap headroom where the scheme uses one, and non-performing loan alerts, with Analytics by bank and portfolio year and a monthly random-check summary for the credit committee.
Partner financial institutions
Application submission and tracking, loan portfolio, claim filing with status updates and coverage statements, in a dedicated portal that only shows their own data.
Government sponsors and ministries
Scheme performance, capital use, claims and leverage, from the Analytics and reports the scheme shares with them: the data needed for accountability and policy reporting.
Boards and audit
The full history of every decision, who made it, when and on what document, open to review at any time.
Technical and IT evaluators
Every server route checks who is asking, and automated tests sweep them route by route; sessions ended on sign-out and password change; schemes separated in the database by row-level security.

Configured to how you operate

One platform, set up for each scheme.

Individual or portfolio schemes

Chosen for each scheme at setup. In an individual scheme, every application gets full maker and checker review, whatever its size. In a portfolio scheme, the scheme sets an auto-approval threshold so reviewers can focus on larger, riskier exposures.

Annual institution limits, and the claims cap where the scheme uses one, apply in both: auto-approval never means unlimited exposure.

Shared service or dedicated installation

On our shared service, each scheme is kept apart from every other by checks in the application and by row-level security in the database; KDF runs the platform and takes no part in any scheme's operations.

A dedicated installation is a containerized deployment for one client, in a cloud region of your choice, a local data centre or your own infrastructure, for example where data must stay in the country. At handover the vendor's accounts on it are sealed and recorded in the audit log; only your CGS Admin can reopen support access.

Regional and multi-country schemes Now being introduced

One deployment for a regional body. Each country's scheme runs as its own isolated scheme, with its own team, banks and operations. A Regional Admin allocates capital from the regional fund to each country's scheme and sees consolidated regional figures.

The design is complete; we are offering it to regional bodies as a design partnership, and it is not yet in use by any scheme.

For evaluators

What is live, what is next, and how we know.

Security and governance

Built for regulated finance. Open about what comes next.

Role-based access, four-eyes control checked by person, an audit trail that cannot be edited, and leverage enforcement, where it is switched on.

Deployment

Configured, not rebuilt.

The advisory engagement produces the business plan, and the business plan drives the configuration: fee structures, coverage ratios, allocation limits, reporting cycles and user rules. Your scheme runs on its own settings, without custom code.

Let's talk about your scheme.

Whether a scheme is still an idea or has been running for years, we can help at every stage.
